At the Southern Bank of Clear Run Creek,
where waters whisper secrets of yesteryear,
Lies a campus of lodgings, antiques, and
unique, a Civil War Lore.
Walls that stood for centuries past, Embrace
the weary seeking rest.
Yet modern comforts hold them fast,
plumbing and WiFi, Electrical and the best is
offered here.
Without clutter, a tranquil retreat, a
sojourner’s joy in lifes’ grand tour.
In Pennsylvania’s heart, so sweet, this
haven stands, both calm and pure.
An old U.S. Route Thirty’s line, find this
charming abode, serene.
Where history and present intertwine and
the learned mistress reigns Supreme.
I had a delightful time at Eleanor's Retreat! Not only is it a great place to enjoy my craft but it's also an adventure into the Civil War past. An 1869 farmhouse with a Civil War past. Sharing rooms that have a private bathroom!! Quilting in a completely rebuilt barn with 2 local quilt shops nearby. The home cooked meals are amazing! I made new friends, and most of all, I got to sew and sew and sew. Linda Dixon
Bonnie King - Eleanor did a great job at rehabing the 1856 barn and the 1869 farmhouse. I enjoyed my stay and met 3 other wonderful quilters and now friends. I can't wait to come back.

Mary Ann Bliss - This is my new favorite retreat center! Eleanor has gone out of her way to make this place quilter friendly! She has spent a great deal of time making this place as comfortable as possible. From super comfy beds, great chairs, super lighting, delicious home cooked meals and extra large tables. I can't wait to come back!
